.IT Domain Names
Established in 1987, Italy’s .IT country-code top-level domain name extension is really popular both locally and in the English-speaking world. The reason is that the domain is a pronoun, which can be used for forming inventive and interesting domain names – write.it, youcanmake.it and so on. This is a way to construct an easy-to-learn domain name, so that it will be easier for your visitors to return to your website or to share it with colleagues and acquaintances. The TLD can also be used for a website, which is related to the information technology sector having in mind the fact that IT is an abbreviation, which is accepted all over the globe.
Taking into consideration that .IT domains are not provided directly by IT-NIC, the Registry organization that handles this TLD, such a domain can be registered through a 3rd-party company, such as ours. We will handle the registration process for you and take care of submitting your application to the Registry organization. You can buy a dot IT domain for a year at a time, and the domains are transferable, so you can move your existing domain over to our firm and we will renew it the minute the transfer has been finished. The only prerequisite is that the person registering such a domain has to be situated in a member state of the European Union.
Since there are existing 2nd-level Domains that include names of different territories and localities in Italy reserved for local third-level registrations, new names that include geographical areas of any kind are not permitted on any level to avoid any future confusion. We do not support such 3rd-level domains, though, given that they can be registered only by locals.
.IT Domain Name Management with Web Server
Our full-featured, yet easy-to-use Domain Manager can be used by both experienced site owners as well as hosting rookies. It gives you everything that you will need so that you can manage a number of domains simultaneously from the very same place. Your domains' DNS and WHOIS controls are entirely under your control.
The Domain Manager is, actually, an integral part of the Web Hosting Control Panel. This means that you will be able to manage not just your domains, but also your web sites, without actually logging out of the Control Panel, on the sole condition that you also have a hosting account here.
